My Top 20 Favorite Monster Movies (part 2)

Art by me - http://kaijusaurus387.deviantart.com/art/Tetsuo-the-Iron-Man-630594032
Well last time we talked about smog monsters, STDs, and parasites and this time we're talking about more of my favorite creepy critters!

Links to videos in the image captions.

Video
Tokyo Gore Police
While my tastes in raunchy, Japanese gore-fest is limited in all honesty when it comes to films; I like anime and manga like that just fine, but somehow when it's in film it makes me pretty queasy. However, Tokyo Gore Police is a very, very big exception (not to say this movie isn't extremely nauseating at times).

The idea of a disease that causes people's wounds to grow weapons and some pretty unexplainable mutations is just such a great concept to me. I guarantee that if when I cut my hand off it would turn into a crab-claw/eel mouth hybrid, I would chop it RIGHT NOW!

Just to let you know, this movie is NOT for everyone's tastes. These are some of the most disgusting visuals I've ever seen. I've yet to see a movie with anything worse than that damn, chair.

Video
Ghoulies
Ghoulies is a movie that is very close to my heart. I watched the second Ghoulies when I was around 7-8 with my dad on cable and it had an extremely lasting effect on me; not only horrifying me, but it also left serious mark on my taste in horror and fiction in general. Ghoulies is the entire reason I love the whole "small monster" thing and absurd horror stories.

If you at all like Horror Comedy, B Movies, So Bad It's Good, or 80's Horror, this movie is the holy grail of your life. The movie isn't really sold as a Horror Comedy, but it does come across as one.The pure schlockiness though is really part of the charm and what makes it great.

Video
Odd Thomas
People seeing ghosts to solve mysteries is nothing new by any means. Neither are ghosts that help solve mysteries. Odd Thomas, however, is by far the best supernatural mystery I've ever seen. It's also full of great acting which is something missing from MOST of the movies on this list.

Video
The Creature from the Black Lagoon
Before you read this paragraph, watch that video. Doesn't that gorgeous critter just look alive? Honestly, I would choose these special effects over any CGI dinosaur or Satan any day. You really get something a lot more from a person inside of a creature-suit, it just feel so much alive; probably because it is.

There's also something to be said about the movie itself; it's sheer quality is outstanding for the time it was made (1954); the story is well crafted and seems believable enough, the filming and direction is great, the writing is great, and the acting is very good and natural. It's honestly hard to believe this movie was made in the time it was, with all the schlock and cheese that was pushed out of the media in fear of nuclear radiation and space aliens; don't get me wrong, I love those movies, but they really do get kind of old.

Video
Godzilla vs Megaguirus
This is the first Godzilla movie I ever saw, but I love it for so many more reasons than that. This movie really stand out from the other Godzilla movies (a lot like Godzilla vs Hedorah) story and tone-wise. There's times when this movie seems like it wants to be a horror movie and even references the movie Alien; which a lot of the movie seems like it's a homage to).

Also, I think Megaguirus is one of my favorite monsters shown in the Godzilla Franchise so far. Her design reminds me of Battra a lot (another favorite) and she's one of the very few Dragon-fly kaiju I think of. Plus she queen of the Meganula, a monster previously from the film Rodan!

My Favorite "Caught on Tape" Videos part 1

Even though it takes a lot for a "CAUGHT ON TAPE" video to convince me, I still really love to watch those videos and everything they have to offer. It's also a topic I've been meaning to discuss for a while now. And while I'm not a true skeptic,  I do NOT believe in demons, angels, possession, or any other religious mumbo jumbo (no offence).  While I don't believe in these things, I'm willing to hear your opinions and am willing to think that MAYBE there is some truth in these things. And even though I don't believe in them, we're still gonna talk about them.

Okay. The first one we're looking at here is about demons (supposedly) and I'm not going to mention the fact that I don't believe in them anymore because I'm just gonna end up getting into an argument that I don't want be part of.  This video is obviously VERY fake. But it's a great one regardless. The minute I saw the arms I was in love with the video, but the end of the video,  just... just damn.

I've seen this video about 10 times, and I am still not entirely sure what the fuck is going on. The description gives no clues and the video has no English subtitles and is in Japanese. The title of he video is simply "JAPANESE GHOST CAUGHT ON TAPE" which also gives no further clues. The ghost in the video is very reminiscent of Traditional Japanese Ghost from stories of old and is amazingly designed. This video is also very likely fake, and even as a believer of Ghosts, I seriously have my doubts about this one.

One of the few videos on the list that I think could actually be real. Sasquatch is a creature most people think is most defiantly fake, and while for the most part I feel the same way, there are a few videos that convince me enough to think that it could be real. This is an especially interesting video, even if it isn't real, because it shows an Albino Sasquatch, something we never really get to see.  I don't really know what it is about this video that convinces me, it just seems real to me.

While Slender Man is an entity whose existence I completely deny, a Slender Man video is always something good.  This is a very short video, but offers up a lot of good Slenderness. And before you even go in the comments telling Slender Man is real because you have seen him or know someone who has seen him, you're wrong. And even if you did really see something, it wasn't Slender Man, you saw something that mistook for Slender Man. Slender Man is the brain child of Victor Surge, nothing more, nothing less.

The only reason this video is even being included is because it real. No doubt about it. Now, whether that real thing is paranormal, a Cryptid, or anything of the like is unknown, but there is most defiantly something behind that tree.

Yokai Essay

I could ask you if you've ever heard of a Kappa (河童), and maybe you'd say yes, and if you said yes, you'd probably “Yeah, it's a turtle monster from Japan.”. That may be true, but not a lot of people know what this “turtle monster” is, and that is is part a massive group of other spirits in Japanese culture called Yokai (妖怪). There are way to many of these creatures to list, and we're not gonna even try to list them, because we would just fail and probably end up looking stupid.
But what is a Yokai exactly? Well it varies. Some are ghosts, some are simply animals with supernatural powers, and some reach extremes of the weird that are just too hard to explain. Such as the Kasa-obake (傘おばけ ), a hoping umbrella with arms and one eye! They take on many strange forms, some stranger than the last we described.
Yokai are also often very malevolent or mischievous, or occasionally bring good fortune to those who encounter them and are very friendly. Sometimes they'll even befriend people. But others killed and hurt people just for the fun of it. A good example of an evil or mean Yokai is the Oni ( ), a large ogre-type creature with horns, red skin, and wields a massive club. An example of a benevolent is the Abura-Sumashi (, who doesn't have any evil intentions, or really good ones either, but still is a nice Yokai.
Most Yokai have supernatural powers as well, such as shape-shifting, voice mimicking, or flying without wings. Many Yokai are Yokai because of their powers such as the Tanuki (), a sentient Raccoon dog with a fondness for alcohol. Many of Yokai are just animals, but powers, and have sentience. But other are spirit with incredibly powerful supernatural abilities.
Magic Japanese creatures that live in forests and villages among people. Legends of Yokai go way back, and are incredibly interesting. These creatures may have never existed, but with all the stories, and the legends, and the myths, they are very much alive, and who knows, maybe your favorite umbrella will get up and leave tonight.

Creature Showcase: Army of Darkness

If you've never Army of Darkness, then you're really missing out. This is one of the greatest movies ever made, not the best in the Evil Dead series, but it's a great movie. It's got quite a few monsters in it, such as, an entire army of living skeletons, a zombie ash, ect., ect. Let us get started!

Bad Ash
Probably the most iconic character in the film other than "Goody little two shoes", but to me, he's not the coolest. Bad Ash actually made his first appearance in Evil Dead II, when Ash is looking in the mirror and his reflection comes to life.

But Bad Ash plays a much larger part in this movie. He is basically an avatar of the Evil Forces in this movie, and the leader of the...

 Army of Darkness
The Army of Darkness, an army of living skeletons, is the title antagonist of Army of Darkness. They are also called the Deadites, which has since been used to describe all the possessed people in the Evil Dead series.

They're pretty badass in the movie, and at the same time they seem like they are somewhat mentally retarded, but what can you expect, they're dead.

Flying Deadite
The Flying Deadite is one of the coolest monsters in the movie, other than the skeletons and the Pit Witch.  It's a shame she ( yes it's a she, look at the picture it has boobs) only gets about two minutes of screen time, because they really could have done a lot with this character. Like they could have had a bunch of these guys (or gals) invade the castle with the Army of Darkness. This monster was used with a suit and stop motion model.

Personally I think they should have used the Stop Motion Puppet more than the suit. I do really like suits when it comes to monsters, but the I really like the Stop Motion in the movie, and this monster would have been great with more of it.

Pit Witch
The Pit Witch is one of the coolest monsters in the whole Evil Dead Franchise, and in my opinion, one of the scariest. She's really just scary in appearance, and nothing else. Another monster I really wish we could see more of. It really wouldn't make any sense it see more of her, but we do! Not in the movie, but in the comic book "Ash vs The Army of Darkness.", not for very long, but we do see her again.

Fun fact: The Pit Witch was played by the same guy who play The Stay Puff't Marshmallow Man!

The Other Pit Lady
I really didn't know what to call this chick, she's never really given a name, so she's... The Other Pit Lady. This is the first monster we see in The Pit, and the first monster to kick Ash's ass in the movie, but of course not the last. She's pretty frick'n scary too, but again, only in appearance.

She is more like the Deadites from Evil Dead II, which is cool, I really like the designs of the Deadites in that movie. I really don't have much to say about this one though.

Tiny Ashes
The Tiny Ashes are really one of the best parts in the movie. They're created by Ash smashing the mirror into a bunch of little pieces, and all of his little reflections coming to life. One of these little guys even become Evil Ash! Because Ash swallows one and it grows inside of him... Yay! I'm not gonna ruin this seen for you if you haven't seen the movie, so I'm just gonna stop here, because if you have seen the movie, you remember this scene.

The Necronomicon
"Clatu Verata Niisfwefrzisfgerzz..."

Well I'm not sure if this thing counts as a monster really, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it is. The Necronomicon is probably the most iconic book in horror history. And why wouldn't it be, it's an awesome book bound in human flesh and written in human blood, AWESOME!!!

But the Necronomicon in this movie is my least favorite of all it's designs. My favorite design is from Evil Dead II, and my second is from The Evil Dead, and then the one from the new movie, and then this one. I don't know why, but I really don't like this design, maybe it the face, it really doesn't like a real face like the first two do.

Well that's it. I hope everybody enjoyed this article, I know it's been awhile, almost twenty days. But I hope I encouraged some people who haven't seen this movie to go see it. But till next time, this is Mordle Warrior, saying good bye...

Creature Showcase: House II The Second Story

Okay, so I've found my new favorite movie. I've known of these movies for a long time, I just hadn't seen them till yesterday. This film, though, is the greatest thing I have ever seen. Really, this is the best movie of all time, it includes dinosaurs, a crystal skull, Aztecs, and zombie cowboys, tell right now that you don't want to see this movie, go on do it, it's impossible.

Well, enough with the plot, this article with be showcasing the monsters in the movie, not all of them, because there are some minor cameo ones, but the main ones.

Gramps
Man, I'm not even sure if this guy counts as a monster, this is the most kind hearted zombie you will ever see in a film. Gramps is the great great grand father of Jesse, a man who inherits a house from his parents. Jesse soon learns of his great great grandfather from a photo album in the basement of the house.

Later on, Jesse and his friend Charlie, later go to dig up Gramps, because he was buried with a Crystal Skull that's worth a fortune. Shortly after, he's dug, he comes to life and they bring him to the house. And after, Gramps explains that this Crystal Skull has incredible powers, and that evil is always looking for it.
Dog-A-Pillar

Isn't that just the most adorable thing you've ever seen! It's a Dog Caterpillar, a Dog-A-Pillar! Isn't that just great?  This Dog-A-Pillar comes from a prehistoric jungle that comes out of a room upstairs... yay!!! This guy appears later on in the film after a cave man comes from the prehistoric jungle to steel the Skull. After they get the skull from a large Pterodactyl, they fall from a tree and into the basement, this guy coming down with them, along with a...

Baby Pterodactyl
That's right, this movie has a Baby Pterodactyl. This little guy becomes a big problem, because, he's always trying to eat the damn Crystal Skull. But by the end of the movie, they love the little guy and the Dog-A-Pillar, and except him as a pet, and part of the family.

But I have to say, it is nearly impossible to find a picture of this damn thing. I finally found one, but, to have a picture of just him, you'd have to take a screen shot, and I have no idea on how to do that. So if you want a good picture of him, you have to take one yourself.

Slim Razor
Slim Razor was once Gramps' best friend, but they fought over who got the Skull, because they found it together. Gramps shot him dead in the Mojave Desert, and his Zombie still wants the Skull. He doesn't show up till almost the end of the film, and get's in a big shoot out with Jesse.

Jesse kills him by blowing his head to bits with a shot gun. And it's pretty badass when that happens. But as much as this guy is cool, you're so happy when he dies, you'll be like "WHOO-HOO!!! HE DEAD!!!" you probably wont say it like that, but you know what I mean.

Slim also has a rotten skeleton horse, which is brought to life using beautiful stop motion. Though he is only seen for a second in the film, it's great while it lasts.

SIDE NOTE: Instead of  continuing the Lovecraftian Horrors series, I'm gonna do this Creature Showcase instead, which is just showing the monsters from various different movies, no big deal, basically what I do anyway, but only from movies with a lot of monsters, and from one movie only.

Some More Lesser Known Monsters

Well I guess we're doing another one of these then. I really didn't plan on doing another, but I was forced to by my own monster loving mind. So lets get going we got some pretty cool monsters this time. Also, if I give any small typos, I apologies, my keys are super sticky.

Arizona Crawlers
Well because we have no picture, I'm gonna have to give description. And the reason I have no picture, is because none exist. The Arizona Crawlers are a group of creatures, possibly a race. They are all different it seems, The first one seen has white skin, and huge black eyes, then there's one that has deep, nearly black skin. The next one was a smile that stretches from ear to ear, and to many limbs, it describes them as nearly insect-like. Now there are a couple more, but I really don't remember what they look like. They come fro the creepypasta called Arizona, go read it or listen to Mr. Creepypasta read it. Also, for the record, I don't even know if that's there real  name.

The Being
The Being is from the 1983 film of the same name. Now, I've never seen this movie, but I've read about it, and it sounds awesome. But never mind the movie, we're talking about the monster itself right now. The monster is born from radiation, and kills lots of people. The Being is massive, has a huge head, one single eye on it's head, and massive mouth full of large teeth. The monster is killed at the end of the film by being hacked up with an ax. But as I've read,  a new monster reaches from the ground at end of the movie. This monster is badass if you ask me, his design, his movie sounds amazing, and did I mention that his tongue can be used as a tentacle?

The Trash Pack

The Trash Pack are a toy line of silly, disgusting and some times even disturbing monsters. The one pictured to the left is Flesh Eating Virus, and isn't just adorable. Now, this guy is supposed to a germ, but that's a human hand in it's mouth. So is he microscopic, or fucking huge! All of these monsters seem to be like this, but of course they aren't all germs, some are animals that are dead and disgusting, some are even parasites. They are a beautiful group aren't they. You can check out some more Herehere, and here.

The Townsfolk of Ashley, Kansas

This isn't an official image.
The Townsfolk of Ashley, Kansas are a group of resurrected people from the town Ashley, Kansas. They come from the Creepypasta The Disappearance of Ashley Kansas. They don't appear till the end of the pasta, after a series of unexplained events. They are also unexplained, it really doesn't say what they are, just that they came from the woods on fire, and that they are all people that died or disappeared in the town. This happens to be one of my favorite Pastas ever, and these guys are some of my favorite Creeps.

Iguana
The Iguana comes from the film Caveman starring Ringo Star. This guy has a great design if you ask me, and he's brought to life through  beautiful Stop Motion. He's at the beginning of the film and near the end. I really haven't seen this movie for a long time, and don't remember much of it, just that it's amazing and retarded at the same time.

That's it for now, there might be another one of these articles, not sure, but probably.

Some Lesser Known Monsters

We all know the main monsters of media, Freddy, Jason, Godzilla, The Predator, ect., ect. But there are so many great underrated or even UNKNOWN monsters, either from movies or maybe even in real life. Lets give some of these guys some love and attention and get on with the article!

Peter Griffin's Hairless Twin
Now I know you don't really think about monsters when you think about Family Guy, you think about poop and wiener jokes, but Family Guy really does have some good and sometimes even disturbing creatures, and The Hairless Twin fits in both those categories. The Hairless Twin makes his first and only appearance in the episode Fresh Heir where it is shown that Peter keeps him in the Storm Shed and is mean and cruel to him. He is fed egg shells and coffee grounds and the moon light burns his skin. Watch his first and beautiful appearance here!!! (WARNING: Crappy video quality)
The Deadly Spawn
The Deadly Spawn are from the 1983 film The Deadly Spawn. They start out as a tadpole type creature and quickly grow larger and larger and eat everything in sight. The young boy is the first person in the family to see the monsters when he finds them in the basement eating his dead mother and he also figures out that the monsters can't, but they hunt by hearing things. I don't want to ruin the end of the movie for you, because it's badass. Go watch this film, it's not great, but it bad, and there lot's of monsters, and what more do you really need in this movie. You can watch it on YouTube, so go watch it now!

 Ghoulies
Now the Ghoulies franchise has a fairly large cult following, but I felt I should put these guys in any way. The original three Ghoulies (The Fish, Cat, and Rat Ghoulies) are in the first three film. And after The Ghoulies Go To Collage, we get a new set of Ghoulies. I've never truly seen the the last two movies, only the the first two. I saw the second one first, when I was small, and wouldn't see the first one till years later. These movies are some of the first Horror Films I ever saw, or at least remember seeing. But enough of my little sappy nostalgic story.

The Ghoulies are little demons from hell (of course), that reek havoc. The first movie has more demons than the second one does, because it's not just the five little demons that everyone is used to from the second movie. The first movie has at least three of the green guys, and a few demons that never make into other movies, like a woman with a tongue that chocks people, and a melting clown that turns into a green demon thing, and lots of other cool stuff. But the second movie, has the puppet monsters that everyone is used to seeing. The fourth film has only two demons, and they're completely different ones. They aren't puppets, and the where cloths, and they look more like people. They're also little people in costumes instead of puppets.

Sumatran Rat Monkey
The Sumatran Rat Monkey is from the film Dead Alive (a.k.a. Brain Dead) made by Peter Jackson. The Sumatran Rat Monkey play a big part in the movie, he bits the protagonist's mother, causing her to turn into a zombie. And here's a lovely little piece of trivia, he's from Skull Island. His cargo cage also makes a little cameo appearance in the 2005 King Kong film. Not only is the monster badass, but the film it's from is badass. It has an awesome array of zombies, and if you haven't seen it, go check it out, it's worth it.

Eyeball Creature
The Eyeball Creature, comes from Big Trouble In Little China. The film, directed by John Carpenter, is pretty well known, but the creature itself never really gets any love. The creature acts as a spy for Lo-Pan, and is a lovely little character. I think it might be brought to life by using Stop Motion, which I absolutely love. The Creature's design isn't only awesome, but it's also beautifully down.

Scarabs
The Scarabs appear in the Mummy Remake Series. The films themselves are pretty well known, but the creatures aren't. These flesh eating little beetles, are beautiful. In the second film they go into people throats, and eat them from the inside. I really haven't seen the first remake, in quite awhile, and I really don't even remember if these guys are in that movie.

Well that's it for know, I might write a sequel article, but I wouldn't count on it, but maybe.

The Internet Is A Beautiful Place part 2

Yes the Internet is a beautiful place, why, you ask? Well it's simple really...

This is why...

...this is why...

... and of course this is why.

Creepypasta.com

Creepypasta.com is a great website, it contains a massive collection of short horror stories a.k.a. Creepypastas. I prefer Creepypasta Wiki myself, but I know that a lot of people like Creepypasta.com, so I figured that I needed to put on the article. This website is an important part of the Creepypasta Culture, and without it, Pastas might not have become so popular.

Mr. Creepypasta

Oh boy, Mr.Creepypasta, you're so great. Mr.Creepypasta is great, the most famous of all the creepypasta readers. If you know of Creepypastas, then you most likely know of Mr. Creepypasta, and he needs no introduction. I really don't have anything to say about him though.

Furbearingbrick
Furbearingbrick, is one of my favorite deviants, and the creator of Worm Jeff. Furbearingbrick is on deviantART and you should go check out her page and all her art and stories if you know what's good for you.

Wikizilla

Wikizilla is awesome, really it is. If you're a Godzilla fan, you probably know of Wikizilla. But if you don't, here it is! Wikizilla is an "encyclopedia" if you will, of Godzilla movies, characters, and all things Godzilla. If you're new to Godzilla, and want to know more, go check it out, LOTS of info.

That's it for know, so till next time, this Mordle Warrior sign'n out.

Internet Creeps

The Internet is full of creeps, whether they're Slender Man or real life people, they stock the dark back allies of web. We're gonna talk about some of the best (and/or most disturbing) creeps on the internet.

Unwanted House Guest
Unwanted House Guest is one of my favorite creeps. Whether you know him by his name or not, you've seen him on the Internet before. He was created on 4chan, and has ever since been used as a meme series with scary and/or disturbing captions, as shown to the left. He is one of the most famous creeps on the internet, and by far one of my favorites

Evil Patrixxx
I know what you're thinking... WHAT THE FUCK!!! And that is a natural reaction. Evil Patrixxx doesn't fit into the "Best" category, but into the "Disturbing As Fuck" category. I'll give you all his basic history. Evil Patrixxx was born from the sky in the year 2000 .AD. His soul purpose is to kill Patrixxx (yes there's another one) and his friend Spongboxxx. That's all the history I'm gonna put down a here, if you're interested in more of his history, go here.

Masky
Masky, in my opinion, is maybe one of the scariest characters in all of Internet lore. He  is by far the scariest proxy, and one of coolest creeps every. Masky of course originates from Marble Hornets, along with Hoody. Masky is my favorite proxy, yes even more so than Ticci-Toby or Hoody.

The Operator
The Operator, not Slender Man, is the main antagonist from Marble Hornets. He is the personification of fear in my eyes. He is also way cooler than normal Slender Man (I'll probably be assassinated for saying that).

The Rake
The Rake is one of the coolest Creeps on the internet. I love The Rake, he's awesome. I remember the first time I listened to Mr.CreepyPasta read The Rake, I crapped my pants from both fear and amazement.

And also, he is dead sexy. I mean look at him, he's got the looks, he's got the curves, and his skin is amazing.

That's it for now, so till next time, this Mordle Warrior signing off.

The Gate Demons

The film The Gate is an amazing piece of cinema art. Not to mention it has some of the best Demons of all time, right after The Evil Dead Series and Demon Knight. Sadly though, It doesn't have a lot of them, but when you seem them, you shit your pants from amazement.

Minions

The Minions get the most screen time of all the other demons. They are by far some of the scariest demons of all cinema in my opinion. They also have one of the coolest designs in my opinion, though they may only be about one foot tall, they mob in numbers. They also do turn into the next monster we have in plan.

Zombie
I love this Demon, as simple as his design is, he is still beautiful. But i really don't have anything to say about him.

Demon Lord
The Demon Lord, or Grand Master, is the overlord of the lesser Demons. His design is just beautiful, look at all those arms, his body is like a worm too. The Demon Lord and others like him were once the rulers of the universe, how they were fired is never really said.

Other than demons this movie has other great things, such as...

...melting Telephones...

...melting faces...

...Zombies that break into small demons...

.And what ever the hell this.
