Dafuq Taxidermy

I'm not sure either.
Taxidermy hasn't ever really been a big interest of mine, manly because I think it's fucked up and gross, and kinda wrong in general. But... every once in a while you'll see some taxidermy that will make you gasp, and not in a good way. But because you are completely perplexed, or maybe even grossed out. Well today I'll be showing you all some weird ass taxidermy that i found off this Facebook page: Crappy Taxidermy.  I don't know were any of this stuff comes from, but if you do, please leave a comment telling me.

Goat of Hell

I thought we would start on one of my favorites, one I call the Goat of Hell. This isn't even the strangest we have on the list, yay, get ready for nightmares. I have no idea what species of goat this is, or where it came from. But it reminds me of Baphomet, one of my favorite demons. The lack of a nose makes this thing so fucking creepy, that and the strangely humanoid teeth. the two things just really make a creepy vibe. This thing also reminds me of the Laughing Deer Head from Evil Dead II, and if you haven't seen that, go look it up on YouTube right now.

The Soul Eater

This one also reminds me of Baphomet, but more foxy! I love the red eyes, and the deer antlers. Also is this thing wielding a club? I swear to god that this thing has a club. And if it has a club, why? What does it use this club for? I thing of it as dropping from the trees and hitting people over the head with it. And then dragging the people back up into the trees, and then using them to make Taxidermy.

American Glory

Who ever made this, had some American Spirit. It's not a Bald Eagle though, you can tell but the fact that there's not black on it, and that it would be a Federal Crime to use a Bald Eagle. I really don't have anything to say about this though.

The Tree Climber

I have no fucking idea what this is supposed to be. I think it's some kind of lemur, but I can't be sure. It looks like some kind of Hell Spawn created by Satan himself, then boiled alive, skinned, then had it's skin put back on. It reminds me of a music video I saw along time ago, I can't remember what it was though.

Wilbur Goatly

This is apparently from South Korea, and it's just beautiful. I feel this this guy is a business man of sorts, maybe a shoe sales man, or maybe even dentist. But he most definitely talks in an Irish accent, and of course he loves scotch liquor. But, why are there cords over his shoulders?

Shitting Squirrel

Okay, um, what do I even say about this? It's a squirrel taking a shit in an out house while smoking and drinking.
The Cagoatsnake Hawk

Um, well it's what the title says, a cat/goat/snake/hawk, and only half of it. And the fact that it's only half of it, makes me wonder what the other half would look like, more goat? Maybe some deer? More snake? All would be great, and maybe all of those are there at once. Just think, what if three different bodies morphed together, but only the the front half morphed, leaving behind three different backsides fully intact.

Rat-O-Pede

This brings to mind something we don't want to think about doesn't it? Well, you'll be forced to think about it while you read about this one. This thing is pure horror, just imagine this this crawling through your pipes, or maybe through the dirty cloths in the basement, maybe even your bed? I'll let you all think about that.

The Rare Im-Runningouta-Names

This is a cat with a beak, antlers, wings, and some kind of weird back legs. This is one of my favorites, I don't know why, but it reminds me of a Jack-O-Lope to the extreme. But keep in mind, Jack-O-Lopes did often have wings and fangs in early stories. This also reminds me of something from Japanese mythology, not anything in particular, but something that would be in one of those crazy stories.

The This Thing
Um... I'm running out of things to say here, this appears to be a human jaw, on a mouse's body, with an eye-ball in place of it's head. These are just getting to strange.

Um...

I... I'm done...

Yokai Essay

I could ask you if you've ever heard of a Kappa (河童), and maybe you'd say yes, and if you said yes, you'd probably “Yeah, it's a turtle monster from Japan.”. That may be true, but not a lot of people know what this “turtle monster” is, and that is is part a massive group of other spirits in Japanese culture called Yokai (妖怪). There are way to many of these creatures to list, and we're not gonna even try to list them, because we would just fail and probably end up looking stupid.
But what is a Yokai exactly? Well it varies. Some are ghosts, some are simply animals with supernatural powers, and some reach extremes of the weird that are just too hard to explain. Such as the Kasa-obake (傘おばけ ), a hoping umbrella with arms and one eye! They take on many strange forms, some stranger than the last we described.
Yokai are also often very malevolent or mischievous, or occasionally bring good fortune to those who encounter them and are very friendly. Sometimes they'll even befriend people. But others killed and hurt people just for the fun of it. A good example of an evil or mean Yokai is the Oni ( ), a large ogre-type creature with horns, red skin, and wields a massive club. An example of a benevolent is the Abura-Sumashi (, who doesn't have any evil intentions, or really good ones either, but still is a nice Yokai.
Most Yokai have supernatural powers as well, such as shape-shifting, voice mimicking, or flying without wings. Many Yokai are Yokai because of their powers such as the Tanuki (), a sentient Raccoon dog with a fondness for alcohol. Many of Yokai are just animals, but powers, and have sentience. But other are spirit with incredibly powerful supernatural abilities.
Magic Japanese creatures that live in forests and villages among people. Legends of Yokai go way back, and are incredibly interesting. These creatures may have never existed, but with all the stories, and the legends, and the myths, they are very much alive, and who knows, maybe your favorite umbrella will get up and leave tonight.

Concept Art from 5 Great Movies

I'm a total geek when it comes to concept art, I fuck'n love it! I love looking at it, it one of the reasons I've watched the special features on the Special Edition King Kong (2005) so many times, because it show so much of it. The image above is actually from that movie!

And if you like concept art, then you need to read this article because I'll be show concept art from 5 different movies! All of which are monster movies!

#5. Return of the Living Dead

I only have one photo for this movie, and it's amazing. Is is one of my favorite movies, and my second favorite zombie movie. Is is some beautiful art, I really like the Tar Man and First Corpse, they really are incredible. The Half Corpse is pretty badass too. Jaws also is badass, but you know what, they are!

#4: Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla (1993)
Okay this has some of the greatest concept art you'll ever see. It's the first one that I can have a group of pictures too. I personally think that the concept art is way cooler cooler than the stuff in the movie, especially the Mecha Godzilla stuff. The one above I'm really not a huge fan of, but these ones below are awesome, and I think that they should have gone with the red one below.

 #3: Alien
I'm sure we've all seen this already, but I thought I include it anyway. There is some weird shit in this. H. R. Giger imagined these monster very different, and much, much more weird.

#2: Critters

I thought this was pretty cool. I've never seen this concept art, and it's pretty cool. The one above is most likely the final design. There's a bunch more of these pictured below.

#1: The Mist

Well this is one of my favorite movies, and it's got some of the best concept art ever. It's some of my favorite. And it's one of the movies where the concept art is way cooler cooler than the monster that are used in the movie. These flys are some of the coolest too, and the Behemoth.

Well that's it, I'll try and get a couple more articles in by Halloween. Thanks for read...

Creature Showcase: Army of Darkness

If you've never Army of Darkness, then you're really missing out. This is one of the greatest movies ever made, not the best in the Evil Dead series, but it's a great movie. It's got quite a few monsters in it, such as, an entire army of living skeletons, a zombie ash, ect., ect. Let us get started!

Bad Ash
Probably the most iconic character in the film other than "Goody little two shoes", but to me, he's not the coolest. Bad Ash actually made his first appearance in Evil Dead II, when Ash is looking in the mirror and his reflection comes to life.

But Bad Ash plays a much larger part in this movie. He is basically an avatar of the Evil Forces in this movie, and the leader of the...

 Army of Darkness
The Army of Darkness, an army of living skeletons, is the title antagonist of Army of Darkness. They are also called the Deadites, which has since been used to describe all the possessed people in the Evil Dead series.

They're pretty badass in the movie, and at the same time they seem like they are somewhat mentally retarded, but what can you expect, they're dead.

Flying Deadite
The Flying Deadite is one of the coolest monsters in the movie, other than the skeletons and the Pit Witch.  It's a shame she ( yes it's a she, look at the picture it has boobs) only gets about two minutes of screen time, because they really could have done a lot with this character. Like they could have had a bunch of these guys (or gals) invade the castle with the Army of Darkness. This monster was used with a suit and stop motion model.

Personally I think they should have used the Stop Motion Puppet more than the suit. I do really like suits when it comes to monsters, but the I really like the Stop Motion in the movie, and this monster would have been great with more of it.

Pit Witch
The Pit Witch is one of the coolest monsters in the whole Evil Dead Franchise, and in my opinion, one of the scariest. She's really just scary in appearance, and nothing else. Another monster I really wish we could see more of. It really wouldn't make any sense it see more of her, but we do! Not in the movie, but in the comic book "Ash vs The Army of Darkness.", not for very long, but we do see her again.

Fun fact: The Pit Witch was played by the same guy who play The Stay Puff't Marshmallow Man!

The Other Pit Lady
I really didn't know what to call this chick, she's never really given a name, so she's... The Other Pit Lady. This is the first monster we see in The Pit, and the first monster to kick Ash's ass in the movie, but of course not the last. She's pretty frick'n scary too, but again, only in appearance.

She is more like the Deadites from Evil Dead II, which is cool, I really like the designs of the Deadites in that movie. I really don't have much to say about this one though.

Tiny Ashes
The Tiny Ashes are really one of the best parts in the movie. They're created by Ash smashing the mirror into a bunch of little pieces, and all of his little reflections coming to life. One of these little guys even become Evil Ash! Because Ash swallows one and it grows inside of him... Yay! I'm not gonna ruin this seen for you if you haven't seen the movie, so I'm just gonna stop here, because if you have seen the movie, you remember this scene.

The Necronomicon
"Clatu Verata Niisfwefrzisfgerzz..."

Well I'm not sure if this thing counts as a monster really, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it is. The Necronomicon is probably the most iconic book in horror history. And why wouldn't it be, it's an awesome book bound in human flesh and written in human blood, AWESOME!!!

But the Necronomicon in this movie is my least favorite of all it's designs. My favorite design is from Evil Dead II, and my second is from The Evil Dead, and then the one from the new movie, and then this one. I don't know why, but I really don't like this design, maybe it the face, it really doesn't like a real face like the first two do.

Well that's it. I hope everybody enjoyed this article, I know it's been awhile, almost twenty days. But I hope I encouraged some people who haven't seen this movie to go see it. But till next time, this is Mordle Warrior, saying good bye...
